I am a Polish translator and proofreader specializing in user manuals, technical texts, IT, software localization and electronic entertainment. Aside from translating and proofreading I also train in using CAT tools: memoQ, Trados, Xbench and others. My other field of expertise is consulting in translation agencies and creating workflows for proofreading and tranlation tasks.

My fields

2. Blog for translators

For three years I have been writing a blog for translators. There I attempt to present the topics which are interesing both for beginnner and expert translators. I focus on CAT tools, technical issues and explain how to handle problems vital for freelancers.

3. Workflows for translation agencies

This enterprise deals with workflows created for translation and proofrading tasks in translation agencies. I create a custom set of rules and guidelines as well as documents for use in the QA process.

4. Trainings: Trados and memoQ

For over 3 years I have been training in usage of CAT tools and have trained more than 300 students. In The Translation Studies Center I present CAT tools and teach to use them. Trainings are open to everybody not only for the students.

I have completed Kilgray's Train the Trainer programme in using memoQ. More than 80 participants attended my memoQ trainings.

This year I am also teaching CAT tools to students of The University of Gdansk.

5. Conference presentation

At Rynek tłumaczeń i lokalizacji 2010 conference I delivered a speech entitled Small, unknown, useful helpers for translators. I presented some of the small, less know, usually free applications used for specific tasks. You can download the presentation here.
